Only in Seattle

Only when you liveaboard in Seattle can you step out onto the bow of your boat and see this:

The Christmas Ship Parade began yesterday on South Lake Union.

The Parade involves dozens of boats decorated in Christmas lights. Every evening from December 1 - 23 they cruise to a different spot on Lake Union, Lake Washington, or Puget Sound.

The lights are only half the show. The Spirit of Seattle (above) is the lead boat and carries the Seattle Girls Choir, singing Christmas carols broadcast through speakers. A pretty amazing event.

Hey, Those are great photo's. This is from the mother of two Seattle Girls' Choir choristers. I have one who sang on this sailing and one who sang on the last sailing, Dec. 23rd. If anyone else out there has cool photos like this, let us know where they are posted by contacting the webmaster@seattlegirlschoir.org . Also, let us know if you mind if we use your photos. The crew that gets that group of incredible singers rounded up and organized is a non-profit organization (say parents!) and can't pay for such things, but we might be able to use them to jazz up the web sight. Oh yea, The Seattle Girls' Choir has been nominated for a Grammy two times and theres a CD called "Seattle Holiday" with the Christmas ship right on the cover if you love the ship. You can find that photo on line with the CD cover! Happy Holidays all!!

Hi there,
Glad you enjoyed the photos, and feel free to use them on your non-profit website. It doesn't surprise me that the Seattle Girl's Choir is Grammy-nominated - they were absolutely amazing in the Ship Parade!

I love your photo's. I am asking your permission to use the image of the ship with the light spelling out PEACE for our non profit beach club. We are sending an email invitation to an event to see the Christmas ships and I would love to be able to use this image. can you please let me know if that is okay with you?

Thanks!
