When the Lights Go Out in the City

Another reason we like living on a boat: the city just lost power, and all we had to do was turn on the generator. Of course, that reminds us our generator needs a new hose! Luckily, we can also run the main diesels. While houses about town scramble for flashlights and candles, we kicked back to watch TV. The only downfall - you've gotta turn the volume up LOUD TO HEAR IT OVER THE ENGINE!

Instead of turning up the volume to the television, another idea is to purchase some higher quality headphones that could isolate a lot of the noise from the engine while allowing you to listen to the tube.

Thanks for stopping by!
We have a 48' McQueen. There are pictures of the boat buried throughout the blog... check our first entry ("Maiden Voyage of the Blog") for a link to a website that features pics of every room.
